Lillestrøm, Norway /// 2017
The continuous interaction between natural environment and socio-economical activities generates unbalanced frictions between built and natural facts. If the final of the post-industrial era taught us the importance of defining the boundaries of the city in order to maintain our resources for future generations, the digital era could teach us how to introduce our natural environment into the cities.
Synercity approach bears a positive wildization!
Synercity uses the UE-BATS (Best Available Techniques) in the production of food and energy to introduce primary and secondary sector economy processes into the site, subserving the eco-diversity on Nitelva´s river system and supporting the existing city’s energy network.
The project proposes to keep part of the stakeholders present on site, therefore, current researchers and innovation operators will be included in the project. Besides, the master-plan promotes spaces for medium and micro scale businesses in order to complete and optimize the tertiary sector activity.
